Which is better email or WhatsApp?

If you’ve been on the Talent Showcase Africa email mailing list for a while, you’ll know we stay in touch with a weekly newsletter that goes out on Friday morning at 10 am CAT to fill you in on what to expect on the radio show that night. You’ll also be well aware that through this community we ALL chip in to PROMOTE your music whether you’re on the playlist via radio; or simply in our WhatsApp groups where many of you share your music with our extensive list.

Now here’s the thing. Traditional email marketing has an average open rate of only 21.33%. Compared to that, WhatsApp messages are opened more than 90% of the time. Nowadays, people find it more convenient to receive information in real-time through quick messengers like WhatsApp rather than long, slow emails.

So, what advantage does WhatsApp bring to the table when it comes to building the Talent Showcase Africa Community? The answer is pretty simple. It’s a game-changer in every sense of the word. It means more buzz and organic traffic from all over the world in real-time.

Our regular newsletter delivered by email has over 6K emerging talent subscribers. And so in tandem with the idea that WhatsApp is far better, we’ve created the Talent Showcase Africa Community on WhatsApp, under whose umbrella all our related groups sit.

We urge you to JOIN the Community so that our newsletters and blog posts are delivered to you in realtime via WhatsApp, which makes it super easy for you to share content with your hardcore fans and supporters, which will, in turn, grow this community even faster when everybody else is doing the same… thereby helping you to spread your music even farther, to an even wider global audience.
